Auror's
The Aurors' job is to capture Dark Wizards and take them to Azkaban, the wizard prison. They need to be alert and haveto try and deliver the Dark Wizards alive if possible, although, Auror's have permission and the authority to kill the Dark Wizards if they have to. Auror's see a lot of Dark activity and are prone to losing their mind and becoming extremely paranoid at everything. A prime example of this is the most famous Auror, Alastor "Mad Eye" Moody, who became Harry's fourth Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher at Hogwarts.

Beast Division
The Beast Division is a branch of the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. Committee for the Disposal of Dangerous Creatures
The Committee for the Disposal of Dangerous Creatures are responsible for the creatures that get out of control, and distribute punishment where punishment is due. Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures
The Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures offices are on the fourth floor of the ministry, and ensures that the magical creatures of the wizarding world do not appear in Muggle populated areas, especially Dragons, as the Office of Misinformation would have a rough time trying to explain a flying Dragon to the country. Mr. Diggory works in this department. The Beast Divisionis made up of the Committee for the Disposal of Dangerous Creatures, the Dragon Research and Restraint Bureau, the Office of House-Elf Relocation, the Werewolf Registry, the Werewolf Capture Unit, the Pest Advisory Board and the Centaur Liason Office. Office of Misinformation
The Office of Misinformation is the last resort involving the mix of both the wizard and Muggle worlds. This department contacts the Prime Minister and attempts to resolve the situation in a way that Muggles will understand.

Office of House-Elf Relocation
This Department deals with the relocation of house-elves that have been dismissed by their wizarding family.

Headquaters

A visitor to the Ministry of Magic has to a enter the Ministry of Magic headquarters through a broken-down red telephone box on a dingy street in Muggle London which has shabby offices, a pub and lots of graffitti. One must enter the telephone box and dial 62442 (spells the word 'magic' on a telephone), the voice of the Ministry welcome witch is heard. Visitors must state their name and business, after which a silver badge appears from the returned money slot with the visitor's name and purpose of the visit. The telephone box then begins to disappear through the ground like a lift for about a minute, after which the visitor is in the Atrium.

Large gilded fireplaces are lined up and down both walls of the large hall, the left side for arrivals, the right for departures. The floor of the Atrium is made of polished dark wood. The ceiling is peacock blue with moving golden symbols. A group of golden statues called 'The Fountain of Magical Brethren,' which consists of a wizard, a witch, a centaur, a goblin, and a house-elf that pours water into the surrounding pool is situated about halfway along the Atrium. A set of golden gates is located at the end of the Atrium, next to which is a security desk. The duty guard when Harry and Arthur Weasley arrived was Eric Munch. Visitor's wands are to be registered at this desk. Another smaller hall is beyond the gates and here there is a series of lifts.
